Book jacket cover of ShooterOur guest reviewer today is the library’s very own ex-Marine, Gene Grave. (Although I suppose an employee can’t really be a guest…No matter!) Gene brings to bear his experience both as a wide ranging reader and a former Marine. Here’s what he had to say about Shooter:

“This is an interesting read for military and history buffs. The story is told by Gunnery Sgt. Jack Coughlin about his experiences in the Marine Corps just prior to September 2001 and into the first push of the Iraqi war. The story is written in simple, easy to follow format that brings to light the training, experience, and difficulties that they experience both within the military and in their private life. All in all a good read.”
