Ebooks Minnesota is an online Ebook collection for all Minnesotans. The collection covers a wide variety of subjects, both fiction and non-fiction, for readers of all ages, and includes content from our state’s independent publishers, as well as national and international publishers. These Ebooks can be used on any desktop, laptop, or mobile device with Internet access.

EBSCO MegaFILE Magazines
EBSCO MegaFILE is a multi-disciplinary database providing full text for over 19,100 total publications and indexing & abstracting for nearly 24,000 publications. Coverage spans every area of academic study and general interest subject area and offers information dating as far back as the 1800s. In addition, the database contains more than 85,800 biographies, 118,000 primary source documents, 10,150 company profiles and an image collection of over 502,000 photos, maps and flags. The library has access to other article databases through eLibrary Minnesota (ELM), but most people will be able to find what they need in this database.

eLibrary Minnesota (ELM) gives Minnesota residents access to magazine, journal, newspaper and encyclopedia articles, media, including images, videos, and audio files, and other information resources. ELM provides information on a vast array of topics, including consumer information, arts and humanities, career, occupation, and test prep, current events, health, science, social science, politics, business, and more.

Kanopy Streaming Video
Kanopy is a video streaming service whose motto is “thoughtful entertainment.” Find movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films and educational videos, including hundreds of The Great Courses, that inspire, enrich and entertain. There is also a large selection of educational and entertainment videos for children. It’s a free and ad-free experience that can be enjoyed on your TV, mobile phones, tablets and online. Please note that use of Kanopy is restricted to those who live in Goodhue County and have a library card from the Red Wing Public Library, or those who live outside Goodhue County and have purchased a library card from the Red Wing Public Library.

Learning Express Job & Career Accelerator (through ELM)
Find career exploration tools, a resume and cover letter builder, job search, interview help, and other materials related to career and job readiness. LOTE4Kids is an online database of digital books in Languages Other Than English! Each book comes with English translations to help kids learn languages. LOTE4Kids has over 3,000 picture books in 65+ languages, including American Sign Language, with new books and languages released monthly. Learn on your computer or by downloading the mobile app.

Mango Languages
Learn a new language for free! Mango Languages is an online language learning service geared toward teaching practical conversational skills. Lessons combine real-life situations and audio from native speakers with simple, clear instructions. The courses are presented with an appreciation for cultural nuance and real-world application that integrates components of vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture. You will need your library card to access it from outside the library, as well as a modern browser with Adobe Flash. Mango offers over 60 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English (for Spanish speakers), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Swedish, and Spanish (Latin America).

Minnesota Digital Library
The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) supports discovery and education through access to unique historical materials shared by cultural heritage organizations from across the state of Minnesota. Since their founding in 2003, they have digitized more than 55,000 items such as photographs, postcards, maps, documents, letters, and oral histories. These materials are available online in a free, searchable collection.
