Whether you have a future rock star, violin virtuoso, engineer, astronaut, painter, police officer, nurse, veterinarian, or fairy princess at home, you need music in your life – every day!

This Saturday, January 13th at 10:30 AM in the Foot Room, you and your preschoolers should head to the library and join us and guest musicians Mike and Susan from Universal Music Center to learn how to bring music and stories together in your everyday life through creative play, songs, dancing, and reading stories together.  We’ll talk to you about why making music every day is so important to child development, how it will help your child be more successful in school, and then we’ll show you and your kiddos just how easy it is to get the pots, pans, and wooden spoons out at story time, or any time!  Whether you’re a mom who signs in the shower, a dad who doesn’t think he can sing (spoiler alert – everyone can sing!!), a grandma who plays the piano, or a grandpa who still tours with his rock band, if you’ve got a preschooler, this class is for you and your family.  We can’t wait to make music with you!

This (free!) music program at the library is intended for preschool and kindergartners ages 3-6 and their families.
