Hey, Lego Club kids!  We can’t meet in person right now, but who says that means we can’t still have Lego Club at the library?  Read on to find out how to join, or scroll down for this week’s build challenge!

On Mondays, Miss Megan will issue a weekly Build Challenge on this page and on the Red Wing Public Library Facebook page.  You’ll have four days to build – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – and submit your creations to Miss Megan in the form of a photo, video, stop-motion animation, or any other creative way to digitally deliver your build to the library.  Here’s how it works!

Weekly Build Challenge Schedule

Weekly build challenge posted!

Mondays – Thursdays:
Build!  Give your creation a name, then submit all finished creations to Miss Megan via our online form by Friday at 10:00 AM.  Photos and videos accepted.

Friday afternoons:
Check out your creations in our Lego Club digital display case and on the Red Wing Public Library Facebook page!

Lego Build Challenge 2:
April showers bring… May showers?  Dragons?  Robots?  It’s up to you decide!

Challenge 2 issued Monday, March 30, 2020.  Please submit your entries to Miss Megan via our online form by 10:00 AM on Friday, April 3, 2020.

Lego Build Challenge 1:

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and our original March Lego Club meeting date, build something green!

Challenge 1 issued March 25, 2020 (yup, we know it’s not Monday – don’t worry, we’ll stick to a schedule starting next week!).  Entries were due Friday, March 27, 2020.

Things To Know

Name your build!  We’ll use this for the photo and video captions.

Let us know if it’s okay to use your child’s first name in their creation caption – we will never use your child’s last name.

It’s up to you if you would like your child pictured with their creation – submissions of creations on their own or with their creators are both welcome.

The library reserves the right to make the final decision on which Lego build challenge submissions are displayed on the library’s website and Facebook page.

Questions?  Please feel free to email children’s librarian Megan Seeland at mseeland@selco.info.

Happy building!
