We regret to inform you that Kanopy will not be available from Red Wing Public Library for the remainder of 2023. The service operates on a pay per view basis, meaning we are charged every time a patron views a video. Due to increased usage, we have used up our Kanopy budget for the year.
Whether we will offer Kanopy next year has not yet been decided. Kanopy, which was purchased by Overdrive in 2021, has announced some changes to its pricing model. We will carefully and thoroughly examine in the coming months the new model and how it fits with our 2024 budget.
